I really like to be an acolyte because I know it helps the church. Plus it makes me feel more involved than I have ever felt before.Acolytes

Acolytes light and extinguish the candles before and after the worship service, and they also receive the offering from the assisting minister and place it on the shelf in the chancel area of the church. Acolytes form the third member of a communion distribution team, along with a minister and communion assistant; they collect empty cups from those communing.
