Application Process
Families interested in placing a child at Calico Butterfly Preschool should contact the Director, Doreen Kleinsasser, at 242-4504. While all enrollments are handled on a case-by-case basis, the following is a general outline of the process.
- You and your child will be invited to tour the facility with the Director, preferably in the morning. Naptimes are scheduled for the afternoon and mornings will provide a better overview of the classroom routine.
- During the tour, the Director will discuss placement availability based on your requested start date.
- Families may request placement beginning at any time during the year, depending on space availability.
- Prior to placement, the following must be submitted:
- Enrollment form
- Your child’s current immunization record
- Registration fee: $100 for the school year; $35 for the summer [see all fees here]
- Specific classroom placements are determined following discussion between the Director and parents; families will be notified of space availability within a week of the visit.
- Developmental levels, rather than chronological ages, are key in determining specific classroom placements.
- If immediate openings are not available in the appropriate classroom, your child may be placed on a waiting list and you will be contacted when space is available.
- While the online enrollment form may be printed, completed, and mailed; personal contact with the Director is required for placement.
- Families requesting financial assistance may contact the Director about the application process.
