Classes

Age groupings are determined based on the child’s chronological age as of September, 2010. Children’s developmental levels are also considered in placement.

There are seven classrooms at Calico Butterfly Preschool.

Prekindergarten (4- and 5-year-olds)
Class Size: 14 children maximum
Staff to Student Ratio: 1:7
Participating children must be toilet-trained

Older 3-Year-Olds
Class Size: 14 children maximum
Staff to Student Ratio: 1:7
Participating children must be toilet-trained

Younger 3-Year-Olds
Class Size: 14 children maximum
Staff to Student Ratio: 1:7

Toddler-Two's (22 to 36 months)
Class Size: 10 children maximum
Staff to Student Ratio: 1:5

Mid-Toddlers (16 to 22 months)
Class Size: 8 children maximum
Staff to Student Ratio: 1:4

Young Toddlers (10 to 16 months)
Class Size: 8 children maximum
Staff to Student Ratio: 1:4

Infants (6 weeks to 10 months)
Class Size: 6 children maximum
Staff to Student Ratio: 1:3
Full-time only
