Calico Butterfly Preschool is a ministry of Saint Paul Lutheran Church, which is conveniently located in the near Northeast Heights of Albuquerque, within a mile of the University of New Mexico (UNM) campus and many of the city's long-established residential areas. It's a mere five minutes drive time from downtown Albuquerque, and not much more from Uptown.
Calico Butterfly Preschool is located on the south (back) side of St. Paul Lutheran Church, at 1100 Indian School Road NE, just west of University Boulevard. Calico Butterfly is a bit northwest of the University of New Mexico (UNM), sharing a boundary with the UNM Cancer Center, and is more or less kitty-corner from UNM Continuing Education. It's also just south of the Big I (I-25 and I-40 interchange).
The architecture of St. Paul Lutheran Church is quite distinctive — it has been likened to both a ship in the desert and the Flying Nun's hat! Seriously, once you get into the general vicinity of St. Paul, it's hard to miss it.
