Lectors
Lectors read the lessons during worship; they may choose to read from the NRSV version of the Bible (available in the pews) or another translation. Lectors sometimes introduce the lesson with background information that is sent to them the week before, or they may create dialogs and involve other voices. This is a wonderful way for lay people to bring a reverent, meaningful presentation of the Word to the congregation.
