Music Ministry at St. Paul Lutheran Church

The music ministry at Saint Paul Lutheran church strives to serve the Lord through presentations that are both accessible to the listener and also of the highest possible musical integrity.  All choirs and other musical groups are open without audition to members and non-members alike.  St. Paul has a Senior Choir and a complete Youth Music Program.  Through its Music at St. Paul series, the congregation annually offers concerts of a high caliber, including being the resident home of the Albuquerque Chamber Soloists concert series.

SENIOR CHOIR:  The St Paul Senior Choir is open to members and non-members alike.  Its primary purpose is to provide service music and to help lead congregational song.  In addition, the Senior Choir usually sings one larger work per year as part of the “Music at St. Paul” series.  The choir and congregation have an active history of commissions and/or guest artists.  Recent choral works have been commissioned from John Ferguson and Rene Clausen.  Guest artists visiting St. Paul include the choirs of St. Olaf, Luther and Concordia (Moorhead) colleges, and such distinguished musicians as Alice Parker, Kenneth Jennings, Paul Manz, John Ylvisaker, and John Helgen.  The Senior Choir is led by Bradley Ellingboe.
