Sunday Announcements

Please be sure Not to Leave any Valuables Visible in your Vehicle during service!

All Saints Sunday will be here soon! Our tradition at St Paul is to honor those members who have died during the past year and to hang banners in the Sanctuary with pictures of members and loved ones who have joined the saints on high. There will be a box in the Visitors Center where you can place the picture of someone who you would like to have included on the banner. We will scan the picture and make a copy for the banner. Your picture will be returned to you unharmed. Please put your name and the name of the deceased on the back of the picture so that we can get it back to the right person! If you haven’t experienced this tradition, I think that you will find it a moving one when people come up and talk about memories of these precious loved ones. We look forward to celebrating the saints who have influenced our lives!   -Jo Browning

Those interested in becoming a member on please meet with me after the service today by the Welcome Center.   -Pr. Koppel

DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A STEWARD? We are called to be stewards, but do we know what we are to be stewards of and how to do it? It turns out these are important questions for us who want to be part of the church of Christ. Join the adult class as we ponder these and related questions. We'd be interested to hear your thoughts. Adult Faith Formation meets in the Conference Room after service. Grab some refreshments and come join us. All are welcome. – Bob Matthews

Next Sunday, October 14th, service will be at 10:00 a.m. : Blessed Oscar Romero, the patron saint of Blessed Oscar Romero Catholic Community (BORCC), will be canonized as a saint, a joyful occasion for our faith community! To mark this jubilant occasion, we will have a fiesta filled with praises to God, food, music, and joyful activities. In commemoration, beginning this year, we will award the Annual St. Oscar Romero Liberation Award recognizing a member of the Albuquerque community whose work exemplifies the life, values and legacy of Abp. Oscar Romero. Please send your nominations to Fr. Frank Quintana at quintanaf@msn.com and put “NOMINATIONS" in the subject line. PLEASE RSVP so we can prepare enough food, or bring a dish to share. A free will offering will be collected, BUT NO ONE, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE WILL BE TURNED AWAY for lack of an offering. Let's have a wonderful time together on October 14th!  -Fr. Frank Quintana

Understanding the Financial Costs of Our Facility Options: It has now been two years since we completed our discernment process, and while some truly wonderful things have, and continue to come out of that process, an improvement of our long-term financial health is not one of them. As our giving continues to decline and our expenses do not, it is essential for us to understand the options available to us with regard to our building being an efficient and effective place for worship, fellowship, and fulfillment of our mission for many years to come. For this reason, council has voted unanimously to create a committee to explore the financial costs and benefits associated with the key facilities options that we have, the most important of which is the option of staying exactly where we currently reside. This effort will involve a detailed financial analysis of our key options, so that we as a congregation can make an informed decision as to which option allows us to best fulfill our mission. If you want to have a say in this important exploratory mission, please reach out to either Greg Flynn, Jeff Peterson, or any member of council so that you can, at the very least, get your opinion heard with regard to the process. Perhaps you may even be willing to be a part of this committee and help with the research that will be required of us.   -Congregation Council
