Wellness Ministry
Ever mindful of the ELCA motto of, "God’s work, our hands," the Wellness Ministry utilizes the Wholeness Wheel to facilitate understanding and promotion of wellness, and maintains a focus on the leading causes of life by providing support to the St. Paul community in a number of ways.
Services and events offered by the Wellness Ministry include a monthly blood pressure check; forums focusing on health-related topics (cancer survival, AIDS, and hearing loss have been recent subjects); a St. Paul bike ride once a month; and more (see the calendar for upcoming dates).

St. Paul’s two parish nurses are a core part of the ministry. They support members by making home, hospital, and nursing home visits as needed and act as patient advocates and referral agents. They can provide a confidential and supportive atmosphere for sharing, using active listening and therapeutic communication.
The Wellness Ministry is comprised of a number of volunteers, folks who are willing to take others to doctor’s visits, provide meals for members unable to cook for themselves, help with quarterly blood drives, assist with taking blood pressures, and more. New volunteers are always welcome – please contact us for more info if you're interested.
